Meet NeTanya

NeTanya is an Oakdale native that attended and graduated from Oakdale High School. She continued her education at McNeese State University in Lake Charles, LA, where she played 4 years for the McNeese Women's Basketball Team and was 1 of 4 in the Nation to be awarded the All-State Good Works Award for community service as a collegiate student-athlete. As a former collegiate athlete, working well as a team is a skill that has developed over time and become second nature. She graduated McNeese State University with a Bachelors in Accounting and Minor in Finance. She is currently AVP Commercial Credit Analyst for JD Bank in Lake Charles, La, where she underwrites and presents large business loans that help determine credit worthiness of the bank's commercial borrowers.

 

She is a member of Israelite Missionary Baptist Church of Oakdale, LA under the leadership of Rev. Paul Holmes. Her heart is fulfilled being an active figure in her community of Oakdale, LA participating in Oakdale Youth Basketball, A.P. Wardawg Travel Football, Oakdale Pony League Baseball, and helping within the community any way possible. She is also a partner of Gold Bottle Group that curates fun-filled events for Oakdale and surrounding areas.

 

In 2018, she founded Toasted By Tan Make-Up Artistry & Mink Lashes and provides makeup services and classes to individuals and groups. In 2019, she branched off and started Toasted by Tan Apparel focusing on seasonal, meaningful attire. She is the daughter of Clifton and Pearl Jones and the mother to a handsome 6 year old son, Larry Chevalier II.
