Psalm 127:1
Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain. In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat-- for he grants sleep to those he loves. Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him.
Wiley's Story
Wiley F. Shaw Jr. is a resident of Oakdale Louisiana. He is married to Linda K. Shaw, B.O.L.C.D.C.L.'s Treasurer, for 48 years. Together, they have 5 children (3 boys, and 2 girls), 16 grandchildren (11 girls and 5 boys), and 2 great grandchildren. He is founder and pastor of The Bread of Life Christian Center, which was founded on April 9, 1988, as well as Bread of Life Community Development Corporation of Louisiana, founded in August 2015. His passion is to help people who, for one reason or another, need a helping hand, or resources to help themselves. He has been involved in community building and outreach in some form for the last 34 years. Others have tremendously helped, such as The Rapides Foundation, through leadership training, seminars, and just an open phone line when he needed help. He is dedicated to pleasing God by ministering to the whole person, helping others reach their God-given purpose.
